We are excited to present to you our Motivational Blogger of the Week, Diana Teniste!

She has a great story to share with our community. Her task was fairly simple, 10 questions to answer with at least one or two paragraphs, and expound the answers as long as she wanted.

What is your greatest fear?

Today, I can honestly say that I do not have a such a thing as a “greatest fear”. I also don’t say that I don’t have any fears. Every person has its fears and we face them often when we are doing new things. I have chosen to acknowledge that the fear is just an illusion that keeps us away for accomplishing our goals or taking next steps towards it. So, I act anyway. I am always thinking if the next step is not life threatening it is a worth of try.

What life lesson did you learn the hard way?

It was probably the one that you should never let others decide or tell what you are capable to do. Without a great self-esteem and self-belief that you are capable of doing anything what’s on your mind we are simply useless and can miss so much in life.

What did you learn recently that changed the way you think?

We all see the world in a way of how we believe it to be. Sometimes we should take a step back before forming an opinion. We live in a world with different truths and circumstances.

What is the difference between living and existing?

Living is a success. If you are truly living you are taking full potential of yourself and what you can have in life. You grab the opportunities, you create them, you make them work for you! Making the changes inside of yourself that are beneficial also on those around you. Being happy and ability to feel the joy.

Existing on other hand is when you just go with the flow. Not pursuing your dreams, finding flaws and reasons in everyone else. Being concerned of why you cannot have the life you DESIRE.

What lifts your spirits when life gets you down?

When life gets me down I am reminding myself that every situation is temporary. It is up to me how I respond to that situation. Every decision I take will affect my next step, my next occasion. Therefore, I decide to always move forward. The skill of self-knowledge is a big help and a skill to have is to be capable to adjust.

What is your definition of success?

Success is measured by how you feel when you are going towards your day. If you can do something you love and what fulfills you every day, that is a SUCCESS! I don’t feel a day that I am working. It is because I love what I am doing. After every performance I have, I have more power and I don’t feel I just came from work. That is how I define success. Ability to spend most of your time in a day doing something you love and that keeps you going.

What advice can you give to someone who is losing hope?

It is important to keep in mind that every situation is temporary. Every situation lasts as long as you let it to. Always keep trying. If you keep trying, there is a chance you get out of the situation. If you quit however, you will always stay in this situation. Decide how you treat your every challenge and how you treat your every failure. Failure is a sign you are moving forward.

Why do you want to inspire and motivate others?

Because I truly know and see how life can change and will change if you have the mindset for it. I wish every person on this earth to know that we all have same opportunities for achieving our dreams. We might not have the same tools, but we do have the same opportunities.

Who motivates you?

My biggest motivator is my mom, who is a self-made successful business women while doing her PhD. She was just 15 years old when I was born and 17 years old when my sister was born. The circumstances from where she came all the odds were against her. She decided she wants better and she will have better.

How do you sustain self-motivation when you suffer a setback toward your goals?

With the help of my skill of self-awareness and ability to choose how to feel. Also, how to act when all is not going according to plan. Success is how you choose to respond to your daily events, EVERY DAY!

It was good to read about self awareness and choosing how you feel. That is what I say, too, yet not everyone believes that. I also liked the reminder that every situation is temporary. That is good encouragement. ????

Such a great read, and such an inspiration interview! It’s been on my heart this week, as I’ve gone through a very challenging week, that every situation is temporary. “This too shall pass” as they say. Just when I’m starting to think the situation may not get any better, something changes and it’s doable. Every situation is temporary.

    1. Crisly Zerrudo

Thank you for reading, everything is temporary in this world indeed. It’s up to us how we react to it.
