We are thrilled to present to you our Motivational Blogger of the Week, Jigeesha Muduli!

She believes that making just one positive change in your life will push you to towards all the other things that are good for you. She answered 10 questions we gave her with at least one or two paragraphs, and expounded the answers as long as she wanted.

What is your definition of success?

Being able to do what you love and keep bettering yourself. Success to me is growing continuously – personally and professionally. I believe in putting little efforts every day to better yourself which will eventually add up to the “success” you want achieve in your life.

What do you fear the most?

The fear of losing loved ones. Even the thought of it makes me uneasy. The only ‘good thing’ that came out of this fear of mine is that I have become more candid in expressing my thoughts and feelings to my loved ones. I am even more grateful for their presence in my life than ever.

What qualities do you admire in others?

Selflessness. I just love those people who are always ready to help others without expecting anything in return. It gives me pure joy to see people helping other people without any ulterior motives which unfortunately has become quite rare to see these days.

What area of life makes you feel the best?

Currently, it’s blogging. I had been playing with the idea of starting a blog for the past few years, and I am finally able to do it. And I’m so glad that I did it. It makes me really happy. Through this medium, I’m able to interact with so many amazing people and more than anything, it has helped me to become happier by allowing me to help other people.

Is there anything you can’t let go, but you know you should?

Worrying too much what others think of me. I’m already in the process of letting go of this habit that had been hindering my personal growth for so many years. Although I’m happy that I’m finally able to get rid of this habit, I just wish I had let go of it earlier.

What life experience changed the way you see and define life?

I think the idea of taking up blogging after college; this whole process has changed me a lot. Right after college ended, I was unsure of the next step and I felt completely directionless. I wanted to do something on my own, but I was also a bit worried as I was choosing an alternative which is not the most conventional option in the place where I belong.

Blogging and sharing my thoughts with other people made me feel good again and I’m really happy that I have found something that I absolutely love and cherish. It made me approach life in a different, much better way.

When life pushes you over, how do you react?

Well I do have my days when I feel completely down, but I always try my best to pull myself out of that ‘low phase’ and make sure that I channel my energy into something positive.

Moreover, the quote ‘this too shall pass’ gives me the much needed strength to pick myself up in adverse situations and get back on track. It reminds me that no matter how bad or unpleasant life might seem at a particular moment, it’s not going to be like that forever and there will be better things to look forward to.

Who/what motivates you the most?

Reading inspirational stories from all over the world. Learning about the way people have overcome the most difficult situations in life (some of which seem totally unimaginable to me) through their strength and courage, motivates me the most and reminds me to be always grateful for all the goodness in life.

What qualities do you have that others should possess?

One of my strengths is my level headedness. It has helped me to get through the hardest situations in my life. Also, practicing patience has been a great advantage to me as it helps me to keep a cool mind in adverse situations. I firmly believe that these two qualities really help a person to get through the most difficult times as it enables you to keep a clear perspective and not get swayed by negative emotions.

What words of wisdom would you share with our community?

Just don’t take life too seriously. Some things go as per your wish, some don’t. Learn from your mistakes and always try to be as happy as you can. Keep your priorities clear and stay focused on your end goals. And don’t beat yourself up when you don’t always get the desired output. It’s okay. Nobody gets it absolutely perfect in the first try; the important thing to remember is to keep trying and never give up.

Great motivation. I am recently reminded of the frailty of life – a guest post from someone who is battling cancer and a dear friend who just lost his teenager daughter. I try to see death as a coming home to our Father’s house in heaven. So, I don’t fear death itself. I do agree in becoming “more candid in expressing my thoughts and feelings to my loved ones” every single day.
